I suppose it's a reflection on the impermanent nature of things.. but like most of these poems here: it started with a line, which then was "taken for a walk". In this case the line is from a song "What a difference a day makes" (hence the title "24 little hours" which is the next line). Perhaps it was the draw to include another quote: "Stolen Moments" that created the poem's flow, or maybe not.
It's a bit near the knuckle perhaps.. but not untrue!!
lyrics
What a difference a day makes -
Try to remember it's never something that lasts
All those tasks piling up
all those moments of pleasure...
Fleeting.
Any philosopher would tell you the same..
Say “lock into the only thing that’s real”
That’s it's all stolen
Moments.
One minute you are in bliss
The next you plummet.
So own it...
When its good - keep it great!
And if not, don’t bleed - more than you have to.
Hone it...
Get the into the task of forgetting that you think you’re it...
You think you’re fit for anything
When you’re not.
