Herewith an album of vaguely spooky songs - a mixture of a few genuinely disturbing songs, some fun pastiche, and a few tunes that would work in a halloween context. The first track that was deliberately written to create a halloween type idea was "Wherever I go Footsteps Follow" written last October 2012.

Other songs and ideas got developed last month in response to a "Band of Monsters" gig for Sheffield's Fright Night. I did a lot of research on the internet of tunes associated with halloween/halloween themes and also ended up listening to New Orleans Bands - suddenly realising that my trumpet hero Lester Bowie, whose "Brass Fantasy" I adored.. rough brass, played to perfection, performing well known tunes in a brass ensemble with drums, came out of that tradition, and in many ways my own style .. when it comes to street-type music is pretty much an extension of that tradition. I never knew.. I have become increasingly interested in what creates street music, and also music that is infinetely changeable and responsive..
